Jordan Cannata was born February 24th, 1990. Jordan has a long history behind a drum set that was molded by his relentless passion for music, drumming, and an unwavering thirst to expand upon his knowledge and abilities. Growing up in a family of music lovers, it wasn’t surprising when Jordan and his brother Jared quickly developed an interest in music.
At the age of 8, his parents bought him a guitar because his brother wanted one and they didn’t want Jordan to feel left out. However, Jordan showed no interest in it, opting to bang on things with chopsticks rather than play his guitar. Realizing this, his parents bought him his first drum set and Jordan has been making noise ever since. The past 17 years of study both privately and at Berklee College of Music, playing on stages and in studios since the age of 11, and his wide range of influences from Neil Peart to Morgan Rose, and Steve Jordan to David Garibaldi, have molded Jordan into a drummer with a style all his own.
With his band J.Rad, Jordan has had the opportunity to share the stage with many great artists such as Twisted Sister, Living Colour, Filter, Joe Bonamassa, Vince Neil (Motley Crue), Scott Stapp (Creed), Bret Michaels (Poison), Mountain, Johnny Winter, Gilby Clarke (Guns n Roses), Blue Oyster Cult, Asia, Saliva, Yngwie Malmsteen, Styper, LA Guns, Rick Derringer, Otherwise, Gemini Syndrome, Zach Myers (Shinedown), Saving Abel, and many others.
Jordan is also no stranger to the studio. With J.Rad, Jordan has also released 3 albums, 2 of which were produced by Grammy nominated Engineer/Producer David Ivory (The Roots/Eryka Baddu/Halestorm/Silvertide).
In 2015 Jordan had the opportunity to join Mark Mendoza (Twisted Sister), Jay Jay French (Twisted Sister), and Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob) on stage for a performance of their classic hits during the 102.3 WBAB Metal Shop Anniversary Show. His passion for banging on things with chopsticks has never been stronger, and Jordan is looking forward to what other musical opportunities are still to come.
In 2017 Jordan had the privelage of joining Adrenaline Mob (a position formerly held by Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and AJ Pero of Twisted Sister). Jordan was featured drumming on Adrenaline Mob’s 2017 album entitled We The People. Along with the announcement of Jordan joining Adrenaline Mob, he released a drum solo video on YouTube and Facebook that has accumulated over 1.5 million views amongst the various posts.
